Red Cherry Shrimp

Red Cherry Shrimp (Neocaridina davidi) are one of the most popular freshwater shrimp for planted aquariums thanks to their vibrant red coloration, peaceful temperament, and beginner-friendly care requirements. Selectively bred for brighter color and better body coverage. Shrimp are an excellent choice for display aquariums, breeding colonies, and community tanks.

Originally developed through selective breeding from wild Neocaridina davidi, Red Cherry Shrimp have become one of the most sought-after freshwater shrimp in the aquarium hobby. They typically live 1–2 years, grow to approximately 1.25 inches (3 cm) as adults, and are well known for their ability to reproduce readily in stable freshwater aquariums.
