Physical and Natural Traits
Size: Grows to about 10 to 15 cm (4 to 6 inches) long.
Appearance: Flattened, oval body covered in tiny skin growths that create a hairy or velvety texture for camouflage.
Habitat: Native to slow rivers, estuaries, and coastal regions in Southeast Asia, including Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia
Care and Aquarium Needs
Behavior: Shy and nocturnal; it spends most of its time hiding or buried under fine sand.
Water Setup: Prefers soft sand substrates with calm, stable water in a freshwater or slightly brackish setup (temperature 24–28°C, pH 6.5–7.5).
Diet: Eats live or frozen foods like worms and insect larvae; rarely accepts dry flakes or pellets.
